Introductory Workshops
Beginning YOUR pottery journey
At 24hr Pottery we love offering workshops that help us all grow as artists (Yes! EVERYONE is an artist!) The below workshops are crafted for artists just beginning their exploration with clay, no prior experience is needed to join in on the fun and get your hands dirty!
We keep all workshops small with a max of 10 students ensuring each student attending has an opportunity for individual guidance.
At the end of class, choose from a selection of studio glaze colors and our team will glaze your pieces so they are ready for you to pick up three weeks after class!
(Alternatively – members are welcome to glaze their own pieces using their studio hours)
*Students must be 9 years or older to use the pottery wheels & have a participating (ticketed) adult accompanying children ages 9-14. Once students are 15 years old they are welcome to attend workshops independently

Mindfulness on the Wheel
In this class we take a step back from our busy lives and learn how to use mindfulness techniques in pottery. In this small amount of time we will use our breath to help our bodies build the muscle memory needed to have better and more productive practice sessions as well as feel how pottery can be more than just making an object. The session will begin and end with a mindfulness exercise specifically aimed at throwing on the wheel, as well as active wheel meditations. During the class we will be focusing on our breath and body more than a finished piece.
** This class is for students that have taken at least one prior wheel class or for more seasoned students who want a fresh approach to their usual practice routine. Come and find stillness on the wheel.
